It is only temporary...

Our Martin Luther Sunday school has always been a great partner to our church services. At one time our enrollment for Sunday school reached 625 members. For many years in the 1940’s and 1950’s we had an average attendance to 350-375 each Sunday. We used to recognize perfect attendance each year and I was proud when my dad and sister each reached 32 consecutive years of perfect attendance. I lost three years due to my navy service and reached 29 years. I will never forget our great Sunday school leader, Ray Knuth, asking me to fill in temporarily as adult department superintendent until he found a permanent person. Thirty years later, I told Ray I was retiring from my temporary assignment!

I should note that the secretary of the adult department at that time was Mike Temnick and the secretary of the adult department is the same Mike Temnick. Keep up the good work Michael!
